“Ottetto”
for strings (1991) canonically develops the 80 possible six-note chords,
from the tightest (0,1,2,3,4,5) to the most expanded (0,2,4,6,8,10) one,
and viceversa. A succession of 160 chords derives, producing one 8-voice
canon of which the unison entries are placed at 40 4/4 bar intervals.
