In “Trietto” for flute, violin and cello (1992), the 12 possible 3-note chords are developed canonically, from the closest (0,1,2) to the widest (0,4,8) one and viceversa. The transposition grades are placed upon the descending chromatic scale; there derives a 3-voice canon , where the entries are placed along the axis of an ascending hexatonal scale, at two 11/8-bar  distance.
